The SDG Media Zone will be on the ground at COP22 from November 14th-18th, welcoming media influencers, journalists, bloggers, celebrities, and high-level delegates to join the conversation, generate discussion and engage the global online community during the United Nations Convention on Climate Change.

The COP stands for the “Conference of the Parties”  and it is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to fight the pressing issues posed by climate change. Last year at COP21, the global community united to create the historic Paris Climate Agreement. Now, at COP22, the global community unites again to focus on the implementation of the agreement in Marrakech (Nov 7-18), and the SDG Media Zone will be hosting live conversations from November 14th-18th, 2016.

Building off of the momentum of the first-of- its-kind Earth To Paris movement, which helped to galvanize a collective global voice for the adoption of a universal climate agreement, the Earth To Marrakech coalition has been launched to unite partners, including the PVBLIC Foundation, and provide the opportunity for cross-sector, solutions-oriented engagement in climate change conversations around COP22.

Now, we look to Marrakech, where leaders of government, business, and civil society will meet to discuss how nations can – and must – take action to meet and exceed the commitments they have made for the future of our planet, while taking the opportunity to showcase climate solutions that are being implemented around the world at the Solution Hours, powered by UN Foundation during the SDG Media Zone.
